Accounting Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned accounting professional to lead our accounts payable and receivable functions.

This is a hybrid role that involves both AR and AP responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Receivable:
    • Accurate Invoicing: Generate customer invoices in a timely manner, ensuring all necessary information is included.
    • Aging Analysis: Monitor accounts receivable aging and follow up on outstanding payments to minimize potential losses.
    • Billing Discrepancies: Reconcile customer accounts and resolve billing discrepancies in a prompt and professional manner.
    • Cash Flow Management: Process customer payments, apply cash receipts, and maintain accurate records to ensure seamless cash flow forecasting.
    • Collaboration: Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to address customer inquiries and issues.
    • Doubtful Debts: Collaborate with the finance team to identify doubtful debts and prepare provisions accordingly.
  • Accounts Payable:
    • Vendor Management: Process invoices accurately and timely, verifying appropriate approvals and coding for each vendor.
    • Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Payment Coordination: Coordinate with the procurement team to ensure timely receipt of goods and services.
    • Working Capital Optimization: Monitor vendor payment terms to optimize working capital and reduce unnecessary expenses.
    • Vendor Master Management: Maintain accurate records of accounts payable transactions and documentation, including vendor master management.
    • Payment Processing: Prepare and process payments, including checks, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis:
    • Closing Processes: Assist in month-end and year-end close processes related to accounts payable and receivable.
    • Financial Reports: Prepare financial reports and analysis on payables/receivables aging, cash flow, and other relevant metrics.
    • Audit Support: Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
