Visual Effects Artist for Mobile Games

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced 3D Game Artist to join our team in Bangalore. As a key member of our art department, you will be responsible for creating high-quality 3D assets for mobile games using Blender and other industry-standard tools.
About the Role
- Create stylized 3D assets, including characters, props, and environments, using Blender.
- Develop textures that complement the fantasy theme using Substance Painter, Photoshop, or Blenders texturing tools.
- Rig character assets in line with animation requirements, including appropriate weight painting.
- Ensure assets are optimized for mobile platforms without compromising visual fidelity.
- Collaborate closely with game designers, concept artists, and developers to integrate 3D assets seamlessly into the game engine.
- Help establish and improve workflows and pipelines for asset creation and integration.
Requirements
- 3 to 4 years of experience as a 3D Artist in a gaming studio.
- Proficiency in Blender for modeling and texturing; familiarity with tools like Substance Painter or Photoshop is a bonus.
- Basic understanding of asset integration into Unity.
- Strong grasp of stylized art with attention to detail in modeling and texturing.
- Experience optimizing assets for performance on mobile platforms.
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience working on fantasy-themed games or games inspired by Indian mythology.
- Knowledge of creating assets for Unity, including light baking, LODs, and shader implementation.
