Job Description

We are seeking a talented Concept Artist to develop the visual style and concepts for our upcoming game concepts. In this role, you will play a crucial part in defining and exploring the visual style and themes for our upcoming games, including Winds of Arcana: Ruination and future projects.

You will work closely with the design and art teams to create diverse concept art, from character designs and environments to props and mood boards, helping to establish the visual identity of each setting. The role offers the opportunity to explore a wide range of artistic styles, drawing inspiration from varied palettes and themes, and translating those ideas into compelling visual concepts that align with the vision of our games.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape the look and feel of a game from the ground up, with potential for continued collaboration if your work meets expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed 2D concept art for characters, environments, props, and other assets, helping to establish the visual direction for the game.
  • Experiment with a wide range of artistic styles and themes, adapting to the unique tone and setting of each game project, from fantasy landscapes to more abstract or futuristic designs.
  • Work closely with the art, design, and creative teams to ensure concept art aligns with game mechanics, narrative, and overall vision.
  • Create mood boards, color palettes, and visual reference materials to guide the art team and inspire the development of the game's visual style.
  • Revise and iterate on concepts based on feedback from the art director and other team members, ensuring designs are both creative and functional within the game's environment.
  • Assist in the design of environments, characters, and props, focusing on how each element fits cohesively within the world of the game.
  • Present your concepts in clear, compelling ways through sketches, digital paintings, and other visual mediums, contributing to team discussions and brainstorming sessions.
Requirements:
  • A strong portfolio showcasing 2D concept art skills, including character designs, environments, and props.
  • Proficiency in digital art tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, or other similar software.
  • Creative flexibility to work across various artistic styles and adapt designs to fit different game genres and settings.
  • An understanding of visual storytelling and how concept art enhances the narrative and gameplay.
  • Strong teamwork skills, with the ability to take feedback and communicate design ideas clearly to the team.
  • A genuine interest in video games and an understanding of how concept art contributes to game development.

We offer a paid internship role for a period of 3 months, with an estimated salary of INR 15,000 per month.
