About this System Engineering Role

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or GCP) and microservices architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable and highly available architectures with failover and recovery mechanisms.
  • Develop capacity planning models and collaborate with stakeholders to forecast future scalability requirements.
  • Establish and document performance baselines, thresholds and SLA's for critical applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential system vulnerabilities through chaos engineering.
  • Provide excellent communication and business presentation skills to drive implementation and customer-facing roles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in site reliability engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of system reliability, chaos engineering, SLI, SLO, SLA, and error budgets.
  • Experience with application debugging and support, understanding of REST APIs.
  • Optional: software engineering and development skills in .NET, Go, Python, C++, Ruby or Java; experience with Kubernetes, automation across applications/services and infrastructure management.
