Job Title:Performance Engineering Role

This role offers opportunities to work on performance testing of various software applications and technologies in multiple business segments. It involves defining, developing, and applying performance/scalability benchmarks, working with cross-functional teams to characterize, debug, and improve system performance and scalability, using profiling tools to identify performance bottlenecks, devising and running experiments to evaluate the performance impacts of system changes, planning and executing performance tests using automated environments, analyzing results, participating in architecture and design reviews ensuring quality in cross-team engineering efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Benchmark Development: Define and develop performance/scalability benchmarks for software applications.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to improve system performance and scalability.
  • Performance Analysis: Use profiling tools to identify performance bottlenecks and conduct root cause analysis.
  • Experimentation: Devise and run experiments to evaluate the performance impacts of system changes.
  • Test Planning and Execution: Plan and execute performance tests using automated environments, analyze results.
  • Architecture and Design Reviews: Participate in architecture and design reviews ensuring quality in cross-team engineering efforts.
Requirements:
  • Software Testing Experience: 6+ years of hands-on software testing experience.
  • SAP Application Performance Testing: Strong experience in performance testing of SAP applications.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages (Python, Perl, ABAP, Java, C++).
  • Performance Testing Tools: Experience with performance testing tools (LoadRunner, JMeter, SoapUI, Postman).
  • Service-Oriented Architecture and RESTful APIs: Knowledge of service-oriented architecture, RESTful APIs, and performance-tuning SQL queries.
  • JVM Tuning Techniques: Extensive hands-on experience with JVM tuning techniques.
  • Performance Monitoring Tools: Experience with performance monitoring tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics).
  • Profiling Tools: Ability to efficiently use profiling tools to identify bottlenecks.
  • Agile or Scrum Software Development Methodologies: Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.
  • Cloud Platforms: Experience with Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP).
  • SAP BTP Platform Optimization: Expertise in SAP BTP platform optimization and its components.
  • BTP Technologies: Knowledge of BTP technologies like Smart Data Integration (SDI) and SCP iOS SDK mobile app performance testing.
  • Application and Database Monitoring: Experience with application & database monitoring in SAP BTP using Kibana, HANA DB cockpit.
  • Machine Learning Algorithms: Understanding of machine learning algorithms and O-Notation.
  • Databases: Proficient in relational and in-memory databases.
  • Code Management: Code management experience using Git.
  • Relevant Education: Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Certifications: Certifications like AWS Solutions Architect or GCP Associate Cloud Engineer are a plus.
