Economic Researcher Position

We are seeking a skilled Economic Researcher to join our team. As an Economic Researcher, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis, particularly in the Indian markets across various policy spectrums and macro indicators.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop econometric models to forecast future trends and risks.
  • Analyze historical and forecasted macroeconomic data to identify economic trends and themes.
  • Monitor global economic developments and assess their potential impact on markets.
  • Produce research commentaries to accompany data analysis and discuss market drivers.
  • Work on macro and market projects relevant to the Indian market, conduct secondary research as required, and handle ad hoc requests.

To be successful in this role, you will need a Master's degree in Economics or related field and 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in economic analysis or macro strategy. You should have a keen interest in global financial markets and knowledge of recent developments. Strong quantitative and mathematical skills, with experience working with large datasets, are essential. Advanced Excel, VBA analytical skills, and knowledge of econometrics are also required. Working knowledge of Python or R is a plus.

In addition, you must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write research reports and comment on market developments. Prior experience in macro research or equity research in Indian markets is a plus. The ability to deliver accurate work under tight deadlines, manage multiple research projects without support or supervision, and handle fast-moving economic developments is highly desirable.
