Position: Backend Developer

Experience: 2–5 years

We are looking for a highly motivated software development engineer who is self-motivated, creative and proactive, to work successfully in a fast-paced environment including multiple platforms and architectures, diverse technologies and cloud environments.

The individual will work closely with various stakeholders throughout the software development life cycle, executing test iterations, tracking & reporting test results, and troubleshooting and coordinating bug fixes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain our products
  • Contribute to the ideation, technical design, implementation, and testing of product features that will transform capital markets.
  • Design & deliver thoughtfully crafted REST APIs, interfaces and database schemas to ensure scalability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Produce high-quality software following good architecture and design principles that are scalable. Contribute to test automation within an agile team.
  • Participate in and contribute actively to architecture reviews, code reviews, design reviews, and postmortems, and raise the bar for engineering best practices across the team.
  • Document changes and guides for the applications

Requirements:

  • A degree in computer science or software engineering is a must or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in hands-on coding
  • Experience in NodeJS, Typescript/Javascript
  • Comfortable with sql and nosql database technology: e.g. MySql/Postgresql, MongoDB/Dynamodb
  • Foundation-level knowledge and programming experience with fintech lending is a bonus
  • Experience building and deploying applications and services into cloud environments (AWS stack)
