Database Professional Role

We are seeking an accomplished database administrator to lead our data infrastructure efforts.

About the Role:

This position demands a high level of technical expertise, with extensive experience in managing large-scale databases. The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of MySQL and PostgreSQL, as well as familiarity with cloud infrastructure, load balancing solutions, and database performance monitoring tools.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of our database systems, working closely with application teams to integrate solutions seamlessly, analyzing data to implement best practices, and enforcing robust security measures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and optimize database performance, ensuring seamless integration with applications.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for improvement, implementing best practices and optimizing database configuration.
  • Develop and enforce robust security protocols to protect database integrity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to roll out changes and troubleshoot production incidents.
  • Design and implement automation scripts to streamline database management processes.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 4-8 years of experience managing large-scale databases in complex environments.
  • Proven expertise in MySQL, PostgreSQL, and cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP).
  • Familiarity with load balancing solutions and database performance monitoring tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Haves:

  • Knowledge of caching technologies (Redis/ElastiCache).
  • Experience with scripting languages (Python) and infrastructure automation tools (Terraform/Ansible).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
