Key Job Responsibilities:

A tester is required to work with large data sets, understand stored procedures, and independently write data-driven automation logic.

  • Write custom data validation scripts based on provided regression test cases.
  • Read, understand, and translate stored procedure logic into test automation.
  • Compare datasets across environments and generate diffs.
  • Collaborate with team members and follow structured automation practices.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining a central automation script repository.
  • Establish and implement comprehensive QA strategies and test plans from scratch.
  • Develop and execute test cases with a focus on Fixed Income trading workflows.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Strong programming experience in Python or Java.
  • Experience of working with data structures, large tables, and datasets.
  • Comfort with data manipulation, validation, and building comparison scripts.
  • Prior exposure to financial data or post-trade systems is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience of working with test management tools.
  • Strong track record of delivering results to clients.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of cross-team efforts.
  • Experience with delivering projects within an agile environment.
Bonus Skills and Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with PyCharm, VS Code, or IntelliJ for development.
  • Understanding of how automation integrates into CI/CD pipelines.
  • Hands-on experience with SQL, including writing and debugging complex queries, understanding stored procedures, and using them in automation.
  • Strong experience of working with Python and its libraries like Pandas, NumPy, etc.
