Solar Operations and Maintenance Professional

Renewable Energy is a rapidly growing industry, with India at the forefront. The POWERCON Group, a leading player in this sector, is seeking an experienced Solar Operations and Maintenance (O&M) professional to join its team.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of multiple solar plants, identifying operational gaps, and implementing corrective actions to achieve targets. They will also coordinate with site in-charges for day-to-day operations, issue resolution, and the implementation of best practices across all sites.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Performance Monitoring: Track the performance of multiple solar plants and identify areas for improvement.
  • Multi-site Coordination: Liaise with site in-charges to ensure smooth operations, resolve issues, and implement best practices.
  • Team Development: Support the recruitment, training, and retention of site O&M teams to maintain high productivity and engagement levels.
  • Project Handover/Takeover: Ensure seamless transitions between projects, following established protocols.
  • MIS & Documentation: Manage weekly/monthly reports, documentation, invoicing, vendor bill verification, and ERP approvals.
  • Cost Optimization: Identify and onboard quality local vendors to optimize O&M costs without compromising service quality.
Requirements:
  • Education: B.E. in Electrical / Electronics & Telecommunication (E&TC)
  • Experience: 7–10 years of overall experience, with a minimum of 5 years in Solar O&M as middle-level management.
  • Preferred Skills:
    • Strong leadership and stakeholder management
    • Problem-solving and analytical thinking
    • Excellent communication and coordination skills
    • Proficiency in ERP systems, MIS reporting
Work Environment:
  • Base Location: Pune Head Office
  • Travel to project sites across India
