Unlocking the Power of Location Data and Technology

We're seeking a highly skilled Lead Data Scientist to join our team. This individual will be responsible for developing innovative machine learning and data analytics solutions to build our industry-leading map.

The successful candidate will have a passion for innovating and collaborating with a dedicated team to create cutting-edge technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement process automation in our Core Map processes using Big Data infrastructure and machine learning for global-scale digital map-making.
  • Develop and test analytic and statistical models to improve internal data-driven processes for map-mapping decisions and system control needs.
  • Act as an expert and evangelist in areas of data mining, machine learning, statistics, and predictive analysis and modeling.
  • Function as a predictive modeling or application team lead on Core Map projects.

Requirements:

  • Master's or PhD degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, or Econometrics with emphasis on computational statistics/science/engineering, data mining, machine learning, and optimization.
  • Minimum 7+ years related professional experience.
  • Expert knowledge of data mining and analytic methods such as regression, classifiers, clustering, association rules, decision trees, Bayesian network analysis.
  • Knowledge of Computer Vision, Deep Learning, and Point Cloud Processing algorithms.
  • Proficiency with statistical analysis packages like Python, R, Matlab, SAS, etc., and associated scripting languages.
  • Programming experience with SQL, shell script, Python, etc.
  • Knowledge of big data tools like Pig, Hive, Hadoop, and Spark.
  • Demonstrated capability to interact with customer executives, technical, and non-technical staff to explain predictive systems and techniques.
  • Proficiency in specifying and explaining predictive modeling solutions and organizing teams to execute projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Development experience with Scala and Docker.
  • Development experience with GIS data and NoSQL databases like DynamoDB.
