Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

Job Description:

As a seasoned data governance specialist, you will play a key role in establishing and maintaining our enterprise-wide metadata management program.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will be responsible for designing and implementing metadata policies, procedures, and standards to ensure data quality, accuracy, and consistency.

Your expertise will help to bridge the gap between business stakeholders, data stewards, and technical teams, ensuring seamless data flows and informed decision-making across the organization.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, including metadata ingestion, data lineage stitching, and workflow configuration and customization.
  • Strong understanding of metadata management and data governance principles.
  • Experience working with various data sources and tools, such as Teradata, Tableau, QlikView, IBM DataStage, and Informatica.
  • Ability to interpret and map technical metadata from ETL tools, BI platforms, and databases into Collibra.
  • Familiarity with data lineage concepts, including horizontal lineage across systems.
  • Proficiency in SQL and scripting for metadata extraction and transformation.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with data stewards, engineers, and business stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Collibra APIs or Connectors.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks, such as DAMA DMBOK.
  • Prior experience in regulated industries, such as finance or healthcare.
