We are seeking an experienced technical leader to join our team as a Principal Engineer. This is a hands-on role that requires a deep understanding of system design, architecture, and large-scale distributed systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of designing and building complex backend services that meet rigorous standards for performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop the foundational backend services that form the backbone of our platform.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship through exemplary code, design documents, and thoughtful code reviews.
  • Take ownership of complex technical projects from conception to deployment.
  • Solve challenging technical issues in distributed computing, large-scale data processing, and overall system architecture.
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering with a proven track record of designing and building complex distributed systems.
  • Deep expertise in backend development, including system architecture, data modeling, and API design.
  • A strong bias for action and a pragmatic approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one backend language (e.g., Python, Go, Java, C++).
  • Experience with modern cloud and data infrastructure (e.g., Google Cloud, Docker/Kubernetes, Postgres).
