Job Title: Senior Leader

Strategic Credit Management Position

This is a senior leadership role where you will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of credit policies across personal loan portfolios. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in risk management, policy creation, and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Policy Formulation:
  2. Develop comprehensive credit underwriting policies based on product constructs, industry benchmarks, and regulatory requirements
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze underwriting models and validate their performance on current portfolios
  4. Determine key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify corrective actions when breached
  5. Implement automation solutions to minimize manual intervention in assessing creditworthiness
  6. Design pricing strategies based on segmentation and market trends
  7. Standardize policies and processes to ensure consistency and efficiency
  8. Monitor portfolio profitability and funnel metrics, including risk thresholds
Performance Monitoring and Analysis:
  1. Analyze portfolio performance, recommend policy changes to stakeholders based on analysis outcomes
  2. Conduct regular credit reviews of existing portfolios and perform various analyses to identify high-risk segments
  3. Take proactive measures to mitigate risks identified based on portfolio performance
  4. Monitor delinquent accounts to ensure company standards or benchmarks for delinquency are met
  5. Identify technological solutions to improve processes and overall portfolio management functions
  6. Analyze various management information systems (MIS) to monitor portfolio performance and risk
New Partner Integrations and Relationship Management:
  1. Understand new channel partner products and target segments
  2. Develop policies based on products, available data, and prevailing models
  3. Facilitate data room exercises for new customer segments
  4. Formulate policies considering expected loss rates
  5. Monitor policy implementation, UAT, and production test runs, clearing bottlenecks if any
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • Postgraduate in Finance, Statistics, or Management from a reputable institution
  • Preferred qualifications: BTech with MBA
Work Experience and Skills:
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in risk management and policy creation, with 3-4 years in a leadership role
  • Fair understanding of risk performance and its impact on business operations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Hands-on experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets using various data processing and statistical tools
  • Strong analytical approach and team player mindset
Main Skills and Technical Expertise:
  • Proficient in data analytics, model validation, and policy formulation
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as R, Python, and SQL
  • Experience with advanced Excel and other data visualization tools
