Key Responsibilities:

  • Technology Visionary: Design and develop core systems from scratch, encompassing backend, APIs, orchestration engines, and infrastructure.
  • Architecture Leader: Shape architecture decisions that will define the future of our platform.
  • Scaling Expert: Migrate rapidly from pilot to scale, handling 500 riders to 50,000 riders.
  • Tech Stack Specialist: Work across the entire tech stack: backend (Go, Python, Node), infrastructure (AWS, Terraform, Redis, OSRM), and app integrations (React Native, APIs).
  • Culture Influencer: Influence technical culture, standards, and early team-building efforts.

This is not a traditional 'developer' role – it's an opportunity to be a co-creator of the platform.

Technical Requirements:

  • 5–8 years of experience building and shipping backend systems (Go and Python strongly preferred).
  • A strong grasp of distributed systems, microservices, and API design.
  • Experience with the AWS stack: EC2, RDS/Postgres, Redis, networking basics (VPC, NAT, IGW).
  • Comfort with DevOps (Terraform, GitHub Actions, Docker, ECS).
  • Bonus: Geospatial systems (H3, OSRM, Redis Geo), real-time platforms, or ML inference integration.
