Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join our team.

Job Description:

The primary responsibility of this role is to perform various financial operations activities, including AR function-related tasks, transactional reporting, and reconciliations for assigned agencies. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for month-end close activities, including journal entries, posting adjustments, and reconciliation reporting of SL-GL system and other related General Ledger supporting tasks.

This position requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage and monitor various balance sheet schedules, accruals, and deferrals. The ideal candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, explain variance commentary on Accounts Reconciliations, and analyze and review financials to ensure consistency in accounting numbers.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce or equivalent experience
  • 7-9 years of experience in Finance - AR/OTC with incremental hands-on experience in GL with revenue orientation
  • Prior experience in roles focused on finance, accounts core functions in Shared Services, Corporate Finance, or Consulting Environment with strong focus on process improvements
  • Good knowledge of MS Excel and its advanced functions
  • Working knowledge of widely practiced ERPs such as SAP or Oracle
