SONiC Automation Test Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled SONiC Automation Test Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for building test strategies, validating SONiC builds, and ensuring robust performance across routing, switching, and platform-level features.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute automated tests for SONiC network devices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Design and implement efficient testing methodologies to improve overall quality.
  • Maintain and enhance existing test frameworks and tools.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5-8 years of professional experience in network testing and automation.
  • Strong expertise in SONiC fundamentals, including test architecture design and CLI/command.
  • Hands-on experience in setting up SONiC servers and builds.
  • Solid understanding of Layer 2 protocols (VLAN, STP, LACP, LLDP, ARP) /Layer 3 protocols (OSPF, BGP, RIP, VRRP, ECMP).
  • Experience troubleshooting ASIC/Syncd failures and Redis database anomalies.
  • Proficiency in PyTest automation for test development and execution.
  • Familiarity with PTF and practical experience using SpyTest for network validation.
  • Experience on Data-Center Technologies such as - IP-Clos/IP-Fabric, MC-LAGs.
  • Ability to debug blank box issues and platform-level anomalies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • NCIA, JNCIS certifications (Juniper) or equivalent.
  • Experience in large-scale Data Center environments and SONiC production deployments.
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
