Job Description

  • The role of the Social Worker is to execute and manage projects effectively, ensuring alignment with project plans. This involves timely rollout and implementation of projects, tracking quality delivery of detailed implementation plans (DIPs), collaborating with internal teams to secure necessary support for project execution, encouraging innovative approaches in project activities, addressing operational challenges promptly, conducting regular field visits to monitor progress, fostering community involvement and ownership of project activities for long-term sustainability, aligning project activities with community aspirations, and maintaining transparency and accountability in all project activities.
  • This position requires building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at community, ward, and district levels across private, government, academic, and NGO sectors. It also involves increasing project and organizational visibility among government and other stakeholders, identifying opportunities to align stakeholder activities with project goals, representing the project and organization at meetings, committees, and advocacy forums, participating in advocacy efforts at district and state levels to drive impactful change, and collaborating with the technical team to design effective advocacy strategies and activities.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Graduate in Social Work/ Rural Development/ Rural Management/ Social Sciences/Any degree with NGO experience.
  • 1+ years' experience in program implementation in the social sector.
  • Good understanding of social and environmental concepts and methods.
  • Fluency in English, Tamil and Hindi languages.
