Global Engagement Strategist

We are seeking a seasoned professional to spearhead our organisation's international engagement efforts.

This role exists to drive strategic partnerships, foster collaboration and advocate for India's global economic interests. If you have a proven track record in shaping international policy, driving trade and investment opportunities and collaborating with governments and multilateral institutions, we'd like to hear from you.

The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with deep knowledge of international trade and diplomacy, excellent communication skills and the ability to influence global economic policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement organisation's international strategy to enhance India's global economic influence
  • Build and sustain relationships with foreign governments, multilateral organisations and global chambers to advance trade and investment opportunities
  • Drive programmes for market access, investment facilitation and international business cooperation to deliver tangible outcomes for Indian industry
  • Ensure global engagements reinforce India's domestic economic and policy objectives to align with national priorities
  • Develop revenue streams through collaborations, sponsorships and projects to ensure financial sustainability of international initiatives

Requirements:

  • Masters degree in international relations, public policy, economics or related field. PhD or equivalent international policy exposure preferred.
  • Total of 25-30 years progressive leadership experience in trade, diplomacy, global economic policy or senior roles in government/industry bodies with extensive international exposure.
  • Expertise in international trade, investment and diplomacy. Strong policy and advocacy background. Broad knowledge of global economic issues.
  • Visionary leadership with deep knowledge of international trade and diplomacy. Strong diplomatic, negotiation, influencing and consensus-building skills. Wide international network across governments, industry associations and multilateral institutions.
