Job Role: Embedded Automation Test Engineer
We are seeking an experienced Embedded Automation Test Engineer to join our R&D team in Bangalore. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining automated test cases for our embedded products, with a focus on transferring manual test cases to test automation solutions.
The ideal candidate will have 4-7 years of experience in automation and/or manual testing, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in automation. They should have a strong understanding of embedded systems, programming/scripting languages (e.g. Python/shell scripts), and automation tools (e.g. Azure/JIRA/Jenkins/Bamboo/Test complete). Experience in BDD languages (e.g. using cucumber/Gherkin) and embedded automation testing using TDD & BDD is also essential.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Test Automation development for Embedded and PC Application software with real-time control systems in safety-critical control equipment.
- Involvement throughout the development process, from design to deployment.
- Reducing manual testing time by automating test suits and improving productivity and quality of product lines.
- Maintaining and extending existing automated test framework whenever there is a change request.
Critical Success Factors:
To succeed in this role, you must deliver automation solutions in-line with agreed expected quality, gain a working familiarity with our fire panel product portfolio & protocols, establish strong working relationships within the R&D team, and demonstrate effective automated test case design, test case development, and report generation.
