Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to design, implement and maintain scalable, secure and highly available cloud infrastructure on Azure.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with developers, architects and stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions. You will be responsible for designing and deploying cloud infrastructure, monitoring performance, optimising resources and collaborating with the team to ensure seamless delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cloud Infrastructure Design and Implementation: Design and deploy scalable, secure and highly available cloud infrastructure on Azure.
  • Monitoring and Optimisation: Monitor cloud performance ensuring optimal system operation and optimise cloud resources to improve performance and reduce costs.
  • Automation and DevOps: Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like ARM templates Terraform or Bicep and automate deployments and workflows using Azure DevOps PowerShell or other scripting tools.
  • Security and Compliance: Implement robust cloud security measures as appropriate to the solution risk profile including Azure Security Center Azure Sentinel and Key Vault and ensure compliance with organisational and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration and Troubleshooting: Work closely with developers architects and stakeholders to deliver cloud solutions troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues and stay updated with the latest Azure services and industry best practices.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure cloud services proven track record of designing and implementing Azure-based solutions.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Azure core services Compute Networking Storage and Identity Management proficiency in scripting and automation e.g. PowerShell Python experience with DevOps tools like Azure DevOps Jenkins or GitHub Actions familiarity with containerisation and orchestration e.g. Docker Kubernetes and knowledge of networking concepts e.g. VPN VNET load balancers.
  • Certifications (Preferred): Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert
