Job Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to take charge of procurement and quality assurance at the origin level.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for evaluating beans before purchase, carrying out quality checks from farm collection to curing and sorting, and preparing traceability and quality reports for each lot procured.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Visit coffee farms and curing works across Karnataka to evaluate beans before purchase.
  • Carry out quality checks from farm collection to curing and sorting.
  • Cup and evaluate samples to ensure consistency with export specifications.
  • Prepare traceability and quality reports for each lot procured.
  • Coordinate procurement activities once contracts with suppliers are finalized.
  • Manage logistics from farm to curing works and up to export stage (sampling, weighment, warehousing).
  • Maintain strong relationships with farmers, suppliers, and curing units.
  • Ensure compliance with Coffee Board of India and FSSAI guidelines.
Requirements
  • Proven Experience: In coffee (procurement, quality control, cupping, or farm-level operations).
  • Strong Knowledge: Green coffee beans, grading, curing processes, and cup quality analysis.
  • Ability: Maintain accurate documentation for traceability and compliance.
  • Familiarity: Export-related logistics and processes is an advantage.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in Kannada (mandatory); basic English for reporting and supplier/buyer coordination.
  • Willingness: Travel extensively within Karnataka's coffee-growing regions.
  • Personal Qualities: High integrity, reliability, and a genuine passion for coffee.
