Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Revenue Recognition specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in revenue accounting under US GAAP, particularly ASC 606, and play a critical role in ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely recognition of revenue.

This position involves leading the end-to-end revenue recognition process in accordance with US GAAP (ASC 606) standards.

  • Analyzing customer contracts to determine proper revenue recognition treatment.
  • Coordinating with cross-functional teams (Sales, Legal, Delivery, HR) to ensure accurate data flow and contract interpretations.
  • Preparing revenue-related journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close processes.
  • Timely follow up for prompt collections from customers.
  • Assisting in implementing and maintaining internal controls over revenue recognition processes.
  • Supporting external and internal audits, providing necessary documentation and analysis.
  • Collaborating on process improvement initiatives and automation of revenue reporting and reconciliation.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in revenue recognition or technical accounting.
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP, especially ASC 606.
  • Experience with QuickBooks, ZOHO Books, XERO, etc preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical mindset.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
