Job Title: High Voltage Substation Design Engineer


Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced High Voltage Substation Design Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing high voltage substation projects from concept to completion.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop high voltage substation projects, including primary design, FEED, and detail design;
  • Lead medium/large scale projects and manage/supervise a team to ensure timely project delivery;
  • Collaborate with utility companies, contractors, and other stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget;
  • Analyze data and identify opportunities for process improvement;
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, datasheets, and other documentation for electrical equipment and systems;
  • Prepare and evaluate technical bids and vendor documents;
  • Review and approve contractor drawings and designs;
  • Perform load flow, short circuit, and motor starting studies using ETAP software;
  • Maintain accurate records and reports of project progress and results;
  • Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including engineers, technicians, and clients.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university;
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in high voltage substation design and development;
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Familiarity with ETAP software and other system studies tools;
  • Proficiency in MS Office and AUTOCAD/BIM 360/ACC;
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
