About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Cloud Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at SMARTWORK IT SERVICES. As a Cloud Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud infrastructure solutions that meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and scale production services and servers across multiple data centers for complex, data-intensive cloud services.
- Improve scalability, service reliability, capacity, and performance of cloud infrastructure.
- Write automation code for provisioning and operating infrastructure at a massive scale.
- Work with development teams to ensure applications fit within the infrastructure and that scalability/reliability is designed and implemented from the ground up.
- Collaborate with QA to build pipelines and automation for delivering and deploying applications to production.
- Participate in on-call rotations to support infrastructure.
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure incidents, formulating theories and testing hypotheses to identify root causes.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in Linux operating systems.
- Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (preferred).
- Knowledge of Kubernetes container orchestration.
- Proficiency in Ansible and Terraform for infrastructure automation.
- Experience with Shell and Python scripting.
- Proven ability to handle on-call rotations.
Preferred Skills:
- Deep understanding of operational best practices.
- Experience with infrastructure provisioning and management.
- Advanced Python skills for automation and scripting.
- Proficiency in additional scripting languages.
- In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes internals and best practices.
