Global Security Operations Centre Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Global Security Operations Centre specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Global Security Operations Centre, you will be responsible for monitoring and responding to security events that impact the safety and security of our assets, operations, and employees.

The role involves 24/7 monitoring of significant global events via closed and open-source information feeds, as well as responding to physical security events affecting or threatening our physical infrastructure, employees, operations, and assets globally.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Day-to-day operations of the Global Security Operations Centre
  • Serve as the hub for monitoring, analyzing, and interpreting risks and threats that may affect us
  • Responding to and investigating alerts raised on various security systems
  • Support in the completion of international travel threat analysis for employees traveling abroad
  • Early detection of potential issues and assist in identifying new technologies and upgrades for existing systems
  • Ensure procedures and protocols are followed that enable the timely and effective response to incidents
  • Management of incidents, alarms, notifications, calls, and other activities related to the GSOC and its role as a central monitoring station
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of two (2) years' experience working in a Security Operations Centre, Security Communications Centre, Security/Alarm monitoring centre, or other closely related operation
  • Proven record of accomplishment in customer service
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Prioritize workload based on urgency and communicate to a range of audiences, including executive management
  • Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance, monitoring of assets, and making rapid notifications via mass communication tools
  • Ability to work independently and confidently make decisions within defined processes and during sudden, unanticipated, or unprecedented events or crises
  • Sound understanding and application of technology, using various technical platforms and systems to deliver quick and accurate results
