Job Opportunity

We are seeking a seasoned professional to drive the discovery and incubation of emerging business opportunities within our IoT ecosystem. This individual will be responsible for identifying and developing innovative solutions that align with our company's strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct continuous scanning of the IoT landscape to identify emerging technologies, new business models, competitor moves, and untapped market whitespaces.
  • Develop insightful research reports on long-term trends, disruptions, and potential threats to our current business.
  • Validate new opportunity hypotheses through customer research, expert interviews, competitive analysis, and prototype testing.
  • Assess market size, potential ROI, and strategic value of new opportunities using robust financial models.
  • Lead initial incubation phase for validated opportunities, including defining product-market fit and building minimal viable products or prototypes.
  • Build and leverage a network of external contacts to serve as a radar for emerging innovation and potential partnership opportunities.
  • Clearly communicate findings, recommendations, and progress to senior leadership to inform strategic investment decisions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is a strong plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in strategy roles such as corporate strategy, venture capital, management consulting, product management, or business development within a technology context.
  • Proven experience in market analysis, new venture development, or managing early-stage innovation projects.
  • Deep understanding of the IoT technology stack, competitive landscape, and key market drivers.
  • Superior analytical and financial modeling skills with experience building business cases from the ground up.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking and ability to thrive in ambiguity.
  • Outstanding communication and storytelling skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.

Preferred:

Experience taking a new product or business from concept through to launch.
