About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding role where you will be responsible for all activities related to accounts payable. Your tasks will include calculating, posting business transactions, processing invoices, verifying financial data, and providing clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization.
- You will review invoices and requisitions for satisfactory payment approval.
- Verify and calculate all extensions and totals on invoices, taking discounts when applicable.
- Check vendor files for any previous payments and assign voucher numbers.
- Prepare vouchers listing invoice number, date, vendor address, item description, amount, and coding per accounting policies and procedures.
- You will identify and implement AP improvements.
In this role, you will also have the opportunity to assist associates in identifying and implementing AP improvements. You will work closely with the team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and contribute to the growth and success of the organization.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you should possess excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as strong communication and interpersonal skills. You should also have a good understanding of accounting concepts and practices, including financial statement analysis and budgeting.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting required.
- Relevant experience in accounts payable or a similar field preferred.
