Job Role Overview

Financial Operations Manager Position

This role is responsible for managing the day-to-day financial operations of an organization. The successful candidate will oversee the administration of financial instruments, risk management, procurement, and office operations.

The position plays a critical part in setting up and maintaining financial systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Management: Manage accounting systems and processes for timely bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial reporting. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with statutory requirements.
  • Risk Management and Insurance: Lead the procurement, review, and renewal of essential business insurance policies, including public liability insurance, cybersecurity insurance. Liaise with brokers and insurers to ensure coverage levels are appropriate to the organization's operational risk profile.
  • Procurement and Office Operations: Manage procurement of IT equipment, software licenses, and office supplies. Coordinate with vendors to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Ensure value-for-money and cost efficiency across administrative expenditures.
  • Administrative Leadership: Develop and maintain internal administrative policies and workflows. Oversee documentation of employee records, contracts, and regulatory filings. Support onboarding and coordination with external consultants (legal, tax, compliance, HR, etc.).
Deliverables:
  • Fully operational finance and accounting systems aligned with statutory and audit requirements
  • On-time monthly payroll, tax filings, and PF/ESIC submissions
  • Valid and current insurance policies covering public liability and cyber risks
  • Compliance with all relevant regulatory obligations
  • Clear documentation of vendor contracts, licenses, and expenditures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Commerce, or related field (CA/CPA/MBA preferred)
  • Minimum 5–7 years' experience in finance, accounting, or business operations
  • Strong working knowledge of labor law, tax compliance, and statutory reporting
  • Familiarity with risk management and insurance procurement, particularly in service-sector businesses
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting platforms and digital banking tools
  • Proven ability to operate in a dynamic business environment
