Corporate Lawyer - IT Services Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned Corporate Lawyer with a strong background in IT services and consulting. The role involves providing expert legal guidance on corporate, commercial, and contractual matters, ensuring compliance, and supporting business operations with risk-mitigated solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, Master Service Agreements (MSAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs), and vendor agreements to ensure seamless business operations.
  • Provide strategic legal advice on corporate governance, compliance, employment, and regulatory matters to support business growth.
  • Support business teams in client negotiations and enable smooth deal closures through effective communication and stakeholder management.
  • Evaluate and mitigate legal risks associated with data protection, IT laws, and international regulations (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) to safeguard the company's interests.
  • Collaborate with external counsel for litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution to protect the company's assets.
  • Develop and implement compliance frameworks, policies, and processes for global operations to ensure consistency and efficiency.
  • Conduct internal training and awareness sessions on compliance and legal best practices to educate team members.

Requirements:

  • Possess a Law Degree (LLB/LLM) from a reputable institution to demonstrate expertise in law.
  • Hold at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law, preferably in IT services or consulting organizations to showcase skills and knowledge.
  • Display strong expertise in contract drafting and negotiation with international clients to leverage market opportunities.
  • Familiarity with data privacy, intellectual property, labor, and employment laws to navigate complex regulatory environments.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Show ability to work independently in a fast-paced, global environment to deliver results under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a mid-to-large IT services/consulting company to leverage industry insights and expertise.
  • Exposure to multi-jurisdictional contracts and cross-border legal issues to enhance understanding of global markets.
  • Membership in a Bar Council/Corporate Legal Association is a plus to demonstrate professional commitment and network.
