Staff QA Software Engineer Role

We are seeking an experienced professional to drive test strategies, develop automation frameworks and ensure high-quality delivery of complex cloud-managed wireless products.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, designing and implementing test methodologies for cloud-based enterprise wireless networks. They will collaborate with cross-functional groups to understand product requirements and testing strategies, work with Scrum teams to create, enhance and maintain automated test scripts for features, conduct comprehensive testing of cloud-managed wireless products and identify and report defects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement robust test methodologies for cloud-based enterprise wireless networks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements and testing strategies.
  • Design and implement automated test scripts for features using Python and Robot Framework.
  • Conduct thorough testing of cloud-managed wireless products to ensure robustness and scalability.
  • Identify and report defects, and work closely with developers to debug, root-cause and resolve issues in a timely manner.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in networking domains such as VLANs, TCP/IP, DHCP, switching and routing.
  • Proven expertise in Network Management Systems (NMS) and/or cloud-managed enterprise networks.
  • Strong background in automation frameworks and scripting, preferably Python and Robot Framework.
  • Experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium.
  • Proficiency in REST APIs, HTTP methods and JSON data handling.
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD and infrastructure tools (Jenkins, Git, Jira).
  • Knowledge of SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL and ElasticSearch.
  • In-depth experience with Wi-Fi 802.11 technology and enterprise wireless solutions.
  • Familiarity with tunneling protocols such as GRE and L2TP.
