Crop Production Manager

The ideal candidate will oversee the cultivation of crops, focusing on production planning, logistics, and customer delivery metrics.
- Lead crop production and management for the region.
- Responsible for developing and implementing crop production plans, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality produce to customers.
- Work closely with the sales team to obtain market forecasts and plan crop production accordingly, guaranteeing a continuous supply of produce as needed by consumers.
- Mobilise suitable farmers, motivate, train, and guide them to adopt regenerative organic farming practices in accordance with established protocols.
- Monitor all farming activities to ensure adherence to best practices and prevent the use of chemicals.
- Manage the collection centre at each receiving and distribution point, overseeing the receipt, sorting, grading, and storage of produce from network farmers.
- Evaluate produce quality and collaborate with operations teams to supply high-quality produce to the Collection Centre/Distribution Centre.
- Plan regional crop production according to vegetable production plans.
- Collaborate with technical teams to implement regenerative agricultural practices and provide feedback from the field to the Technical Centre of Excellence.
- Analyse opportunities for expansion across multiple locations within the same region.
