Job Title: Farm Operations Manager

Farm operations management is a critical function in ensuring the success of our agricultural endeavors. As a farm operations manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of farm operations, from planning and organization to monitoring crop health and maintaining visibility on production plans.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of agriculture practices, with experience in managing farm operations, resource allocation, and team leadership. Key responsibilities include:

  • Operations Management
    • Validate land suitability for energy crop farming and develop specific packages of practices.
    • Develop and implement planting, cultivation, and harvesting plans to optimize crop yields and productivity.
    • Manage resources efficiently, including land, labor, machinery, and finances.
    • Ensure high-quality crops and products through adherence to standards and best practices.
    • Implement strategies to improve crop yields and overall productivity.
    • Recruit, train, and supervise an efficient workforce.
  • Sustainability and Compliance
    • Implement and maintain sustainable agricultural practices, including environmental stewardship and social responsibility.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
  • Communication and Leadership
    • Train, motivate, and lead a team of employees to foster a positive and productive work environment.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including management, suppliers, and customers.
  • Specific Tasks
    • Monitor and report on all plantation sites digitally.
    • Oversee land clearing, preparation, and maintenance.
    • Supervise planting, fertilization, pest control, gap filling, and other cultivation activities.
    • Manage harvesting operations and ensure proper post-harvest handling and storage.
    • Oversee the maintenance and repair of farm equipment and machinery.
    • Maintain accurate records of all plantation activities.
