Cloud Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS and Terraform.

This role involves developing and maintaining configuration management using Chef, Ansible, and Ruby. Additionally, you will automate CI/CD pipelines and integrations using Jenkins and related DevOps tools.

The ideal candidate will have experience with creating and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) for consistent and repeatable deployments. You will also develop scripts and automation tools using Python to streamline operations and support self-service capabilities.

A key aspect of this role is containerizing applications using Docker and managing the container lifecycle. You will also ensure compliance with PCI DSS and other regulatory standards in the payments domain.

To be successful in this position, you must collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. Drive innovation in self-service automation for end users.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Strong hands-on experience with Chef and Ruby for configuration management.
  • Proficiency in AWS cloud services and architecture.
  • Expertise in Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
  • Solid understanding of Jenkins and CI/CD pipeline integrations.
  • Scripting experience with Python.
  • Experience with Ansible for automation and orchestration.
  • Proficiency in Docker for containerization.
  • Familiarity with Payments systems and PCI DSS compliance requirements.
  • Proven experience in application migration to cloud platforms.
  • Experience in building end-user self-service automation tools or platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect).
  • Experience in financial services or regulated environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
