Job Description

This is a challenging opportunity to develop and maintain COBOL / PL/I programs interacting with DB2 databases on mainframe systems. Key responsibilities include writing efficient SQL queries, stored procedures, and optimizing DB2 database access.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain high-performance COBOL / PL/I programs for mainframe systems.
  • Write complex SQL queries and stored procedures to optimize DB2 database access.
  • Design and implement application enhancements to meet business requirements.
  • Perform unit testing and support system integration testing to ensure seamless integration.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to DB2 and application code to resolve problems efficiently.
  • Collaborate with DBAs to improve database performance and optimize resource utilization.
Key Skills Required
  • Proficiency in COBOL or PL/I programming languages.
  • Experience with JCL (Job Control Language) knowledge.
  • Expertise in debugging and performance tuning on mainframe systems.
