Job Summary:

  • We are seeking a highly skilled engineer to join our XR Research team in building and testing prototype devices for various perception technologies.
  • The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in embedded product development, including experience with low-level device driver development, HW/SW interfaces, bringing up camera/IMU sensors drivers, I2C/SPI, and basic electronics concepts.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to consolidate and define reference/prototype device requirements for perception features
  • Bring up new camera sensors and IMU sensors
  • Work with various stakeholders, including ID design and electronics teams, to build reference/prototype devices
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • 3+ years of experience with C++ programming language and embedded device development

Skill Highlights:

  • Design and develop highly optimized embedded software/firmware using C, C++ languages on Windows/Android/Linux
  • Strong understanding of embedded hardware & driver concepts
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Team player who can function well with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
  • Experience with Augmented/Virtual Reality, general computer vision enabling technologies
  • Experience in designing prototype devices using microcontrollers, sensors, FPGAs, cameras, and IMUs
