Senior Monitoring Engineer

Job Description:

We are seeking a Senior Monitoring Engineer with deep expertise in API-based integration and automation to lead the design and implementation of monitoring solutions across hybrid environments.

The ideal candidate will work closely with platform and operations teams to ensure system reliability and intelligence-driven alerting.

This role is perfect for those who have experience in scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and JSON/XML-based API design, and have a proven track record of automating large-scale monitoring environments.

Responsibilities include developing custom integrations and automations using LogicMonitor's REST APIs, architecting scalable monitoring workflows that support multi-cloud and on-prem systems, building and maintaining LogicModules, dashboards, escalation chains, and reporting logic, automating monitoring deployments and policy configurations across client environments, and providing mentorship and design standards for observability integration.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in monitoring engineering, with 3+ years focused on LogicMonitor.
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, Bash) and JSON/XML-based API design.
  • Proven success in automating large-scale monitoring environments.
  • Experience with hybrid cloud observability and integrations with ITSM/CMDB tools.
  • Strong understanding of platform engineering and service reliability practices.
