Job Overview

Cost Accountants play a crucial role in establishing robust financial frameworks, project margin tracking, and cost reporting systems across diverse industries.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain comprehensive cost sheets to track expenses per project.
  • Allocate shared costs across business units and create standard cost templates.
  • Monitor budget vs. actual and prepare regular cost reports for stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with operations to validate cost data and support ERP implementation for costing modules.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A CMA (Cost & Management Accountant) certification or equivalent.
  • 3–6 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in infrastructure, construction, or rentals.
  • Exposure to ERP systems, particularly Tally Prime.
Essential Skills

As a Cost Accountant, you will require:

  • Strong grasp of cost accounting principles and experience in project-based businesses.
  • Advanced Excel and cost reporting skills, along with an understanding of logistics and inventory management.
