Seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to join our team for a dynamic and challenging role in the field of Guidewire testing.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with type-script automation tools, such as Playwright or JavaScript-based frameworks like Cypress or Selenium. They should also possess strong programming skills, including proficiency in Git repository management.

Responsibilities will include developing and maintaining automated test scripts for UI, API, and integration testing, ensuring seamless alignment with acceptance criteria and user stories. Additionally, they will execute automated tests, log defects, and support defect triage, creating and managing test data and environment configurations for automation.

Key responsibilities also include identifying and maintaining reusable scripts for system-level and regression testing, contributing to the automation regression suite, and maintaining automation assets. Collaboration with developers and senior QA engineers will be essential in resolving issues efficiently, adhering to automation best practices, and participating in peer reviews.

The successful candidate will also prepare and maintain Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) and support manual testing efforts when required, tracking and reporting QA metrics such as defect rates, test coverage, and productivity.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 1–3 years of experience in Guidewire functional and automation testing
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Guidewire policy center projects
  • Hands-on experience with type-script automation tools such as Playwright, Taiko or JavaScript based frameworks such as Cypress/ Selenium
  • Hands on experience in Programming based Test Automation toolset and should be part of Test Design for minimum of 2 Years
  • Hands on Experience in working with Git Repository
  • Independently handle Test Code issue resolution, updates & Debugging
  • Exposure to QA lifecycle tools such as HP ALM, JIRA, or equivalent
  • Understanding of defect lifecycle management and test standards
  • Experience in test effort estimation and metrics reporting
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge on CI / CD
  • Knowledge of API & API testing tools like Karate, Postman or RestAssured

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

  • Exposure to unit testing and mobile testing
  • Experience in improving test coverage and test strategy
  • Familiarity with performance testing tools & CI/CD tools should be good
