We are seeking a skilled Port Development Surveyor to contribute to the growth of port infrastructure.

Job Description:

  • Analyze survey data and generate reports, maps, and charts for stakeholders, providing crucial information for project design and coastal protection.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Survey Planning and Execution:
    • Plan and conduct detailed bathymetric surveys, including sub-bottom profiling.
    • Execute hydrographic survey work, ensuring accurate data collection for marine and port infrastructure projects.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Analyze survey data using advanced software and tools.
    • Generate reports, maps, and charts for stakeholders, providing clear and concise information for project design and coastal protection.
  • Equipment Operation and Maintenance:
    • Operate and maintain advanced hydrographic survey equipment, including echo sounders and multibeam sonar systems.
    • Ensure all equipment is in good working condition, adhering to industry standards and quality control measures.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with engineers, environmental specialists, and project managers to integrate survey data into port development plans.
    • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing clear and concise information on project progress and results.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 10+ Years of Experience:
    • 10+ years of experience in hydrographic surveying, particularly in port and coastal infrastructure projects.
  • Survey Recorder Qualification:
    • Survey Recorder Class I or Class II qualification (mandatory).
  • Extensive Knowledge:
    • Extensive knowledge of surveying methods used for port development, bathymetric surveys, and marine geospatial analysis.
  • Proficiency in Software:
    • Proficiency in hydrographic software such as CARIS, HYPACK, and GIS for data analysis and mapping.
  • Experience with Equipment:
    • Experience with multibeam sonar, single-beam echo sounders, and other specialized survey equipment.
  • Understanding of Marine Environments:
    • Solid understanding of marine and coastal environments, including tidal variations, water depths, and seabed topography.
  • Excellent Analytical Skills:
    • Excellent analytical skills to ensure precise data collection and interpretation.
  • Independent Work:
    • Ability to work independently in the field and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in an office setting.
  • Strong Communication Skills:
    • Strong communication skills to produce clear and concise reports for project stakeholders.
