Internal Control Specialist

This is a challenging role where you will conduct independent reviews of internal controls, ensuring timely implementation and reporting to team members and management.

  • Conduct on-site reviews and ensure appropriate implementation of control processes and corrective actions.
  • Undertake special projects to identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, and automation, with the goal of strengthening internal controls while reducing inefficiencies and inaccuracies.
  • Assess risks across all functional areas and implement effective risk management strategies.
  • Facilitate the completion of mandatory reporting requirements, such as quarterly attestation and semi-annual balance sheet reviews.
  • Support location management teams in operational and financial audits by assisting in preparation, liaison with auditors, response development, and closure of deficiencies.
  • Obtain, analyze, and evaluate accounting documents to check compliance with US GAAP, Indian Accounting Standards, and internal policy.

Required Skills:

  • Chartered Accountant with over 8 years of experience in internal audit, accounting audit, or internal control roles, with at least 4 years in a Big 4 environment.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment with cross-functional departments.
  • Able to perform process audits and month-end reviews independently.
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP and Indian Accounting Standards.
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly and concisely with team members and executive stakeholders.
  • Adaptable and able to work well in ambiguous situations.
