Senior Linux Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux administration and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administration of Linux systems, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting
  • Ensuring the security and integrity of Linux systems, including patching and vulnerability management
  • Coordinating with vendors to resolve hardware and OS-level issues
  • Implementing changes as per application team and DB team requirements at the OS level
  • Managing log rotation and file system usage, changing permissions and ownership as needed
  • Service management, including NTP, SSH, and AUTOFS
  • Troubleshooting server access and bootable issues, including fixing GRUB
  • OS-level trouble shooting to bring up servers
  • OS migration is an added advantage

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of Linux fundamentals, including file systems, permissions, and process management
  • Experience with Linux distributions, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Ubuntu
  • Knowledge of scripting languages, such as Bash and Python
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
