As a Network Architect, you will oversee the design, implementation, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructure. This includes ensuring the continuous and secure flow of data between operational technology (OT) and information technology (IT) systems.

You will implement advanced wireless technologies such as Wi-Fi 6 and private 5G to support robust connectivity, automation, and real-time data monitoring. Additionally, you will focus on disaster recovery and business continuity planning to minimize operational disruptions and ensure rapid recovery from any incidents affecting network services.

Your role demands high technical expertise in network design, configuration, and troubleshooting, along with strong vendor management and collaboration skills. You will manage the design, deployment, and maintenance of network infrastructure, ensuring high availability, low latency, redundancy, and security.

You will collaborate with production and IT teams to align network infrastructure with the operational needs of continuous production processes. Your responsibilities include:

  1. Managing the installation and configuration of routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points to ensure optimal performance and security.
  2. Monitoring and troubleshooting network performance to identify potential bottlenecks and ensure minimal downtime.
  3. Planning and executing network upgrades, expansions, and modernization initiatives that include security features and future-ready wireless infrastructure solutions.
  4. Ensuring network scalability to support future production needs and business growth.
  5. Implementing and enforcing network security policies and controls in alignment with organization policies.

You will also be responsible for managing relationships with network vendors and external partners to ensure timely delivery, implementation, and support for network hardware and services. Furthermore, you will develop redundancy strategies to prevent network failures and ensure the continuous availability of production data.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  1. Proficiency in designing and managing large-scale production network deployment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless solutions.
  2. Strong knowledge of network security practices and protocols, including VPN, intrusion detection, and VLAN management.
  3. Experience in implementing OT/IT network integration and proficiency in managing both wired and wireless network infrastructure, with experience in optimizing systems for large-scale industrial use.
