IT Leadership Role

This is a senior leadership position in our IT department, requiring strong technical expertise and experience in managing complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • We are seeking a highly skilled individual to oversee daily IT operations, including network availability, server performance, and system uptime.
  • The successful candidate will provide advanced technical support for hardware and software issues for faculty, staff, and students.
  • We need someone to implement and manage software deployment, updates, and patching across our systems.
Network & Infrastructure Management:
  • This role involves assisting in the administration and maintenance of our wired and wireless networks.
  • The ideal candidate will monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and ensure network security.
  • Responsibilities include managing and maintaining server infrastructure, including physical and virtual servers.
Software & System Administration:
  • As a key member of our team, the successful candidate will administer and support university applications, including Learning Management Systems and Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
  • We require someone to administer and maintain Microsoft Exchange Online for email services.
  • Responsibilities also include managing user accounts, permissions, and access controls across various platforms.
Cybersecurity & Data Protection:
  • In this role, you will implement and enforce IT security policies and procedures to protect our data and systems from threats.
  • The ideal candidate will monitor security alerts, conduct vulnerability assessments, and respond to security incidents.
  • You will promote cybersecurity awareness among our users.
Project Management & Coordination:
  • We need someone to lead or assist in planning, executing, and completing IT projects, such as system upgrades and new technology rollouts.
  • The successful candidate will coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to ensure project milestones are met.
Documentation & Reporting:
  • Responsibilities include developing and maintaining comprehensive IT documentation, including system configurations, network diagrams, and asset inventories.
  • You will generate regular reports on IT performance, incidents, and project progress.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 5-7 years of progressive experience in IT support, system administration, or network management.

Desired Skills:

  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate).
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell) for automation.
