Senior IT Infrastructure Lead

This is a high-level, strategic role requiring an experienced leader to oversee the day-to-day management of our Wintel environment, including servers and associated technologies.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver business-as-usual services and infrastructure projects, ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient IT operations.

  • Manage global Wintel operations in partnership with service providers, leading 24x7 BAU activities, incident response, and escalations with hands-on technical depth.
  • Develop and implement policies for patch compliance, performance optimization, and infrastructure hardening.
  • Review, standardize, and drive continuous improvement of operational tasks and GSOPs, designing and managing DR processes for applications in line with Backup, Storage, and Application teams.
  • Lead technical execution of infrastructure projects, including OS upgrades, migrations, and platform transitions, architecting and implementing infrastructure solutions for new business requirements.
  • Drive initiatives for virtualization, automation, capacity planning, and legacy system upgrades, ensuring proper documentation and technical sign-off for infrastructure change implementations.
  • Develop and manage annual IT infrastructure budgets, tracking hardware refresh, AMC, licensing, and managed services costs.
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls, GxP, and InfoSec policies, conducting periodic review of EOL/EOS platforms and defining decommission strategies.
  • Track and resolve audit findings, document evidence, and support RCA processes, collaborating with application, security, and compliance teams for cross-functional initiatives.
  • Govern SLAs, KPIs, and deliverables of infrastructure service partners, reviewing contract alignment, invoicing accuracy, and resource utilization.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date CMDB, ensuring accuracy for DR/BCP planning and highlighting cost drivers, proposing optimization opportunities, and assisting in budget forecasting.
  • Identify infrastructure gaps and propose innovative solutions, including automation, driving modernization of Windows platforms and transition cloud environments supported.
