About the Role

Organizations globally rely on Esri India to unlock the full potential of their data.

The GIS Data Specialist will collect, analyze, and interpret geospatial data for informed decision-making. Collaboration with stakeholders is key to understanding data requirements, while working closely with project managers, analysts, and external partners to develop and deploy solutions based on business needs.

  • Data Collection and Management: Collect, process, and manage large datasets, including GIS data, satellite imagery, and other spatial data sources.
  • Validate and ensure the accuracy, quality, and completeness of spatial data.
  • ETL operations: Perform ETL operations between GIS applications/database using Esri Desktop or Server.
  • GIS Analysis and Mapping: Conduct spatial analysis, map creation, and geospatial model development to aid various projects and initiatives.
  • Data Quality Assurance: Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and consistency through quality checks and resolution of data discrepancies using ArcGIS Data Reviewer.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including project managers, analysts, and external partners.
  • Create training materials and conduct trainings to customers as required.
  • Support trade shows and Esri conferences as required.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with image processing techniques.
  • Knowledgeable about various ESRI products - ArcGIS Enterprise, Image Analyst Extension, Data Reviewer Extension.
  • Effective time management and organizational skills.
  • Able to identify, research, and resolve issues proactively and provide recommendations to business partners, peers, and various levels of management.

Preferred Skills:

  • Mastery in RS, GIS, Geoinformatics, or a related field.
  • Working knowledge on imagery-based data creation on Esri platform.
  • Self-motivated with exceptional planning, critical thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
