As a senior leadership professional, you will lead the development of wholesale risk models and collaborate with senior stakeholders to execute risk governance and practices. You will establish a new Centre of Excellence for Wholesale Rating Models from scratch, providing thought leadership and contributing to best practices in model development and validation.

Main Responsibilities
  • Create and implement end-to-end processes for developing, validating, and managing Wholesale Rating Models.
  • Develop and validate corporate/wholesale rating models, exploring new approaches for rating model development, especially for low default portfolios, and master rating scale calibration.
Key Skills
  • A strong foundation in Statistics and Mathematics, with hands-on experience in developing and validating Wholesale Rating Models and a deep understanding of model lifecycle best practices.
  • Strong programming languages such as R and Python, and proficiency in data analysis and visualization using Excel and PowerPoint.
  • A degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Quantitative Finance, Economics, or a related field is required.
  • 10-15 years of progressive, multi-discipline risk management experience within banking, with a deep understanding of risk management concepts and methodologies.

  • You will be responsible for outlining goals of model monitoring, determining expected performance, and implementing monitoring tools to assess model performance.
  • You will also be responsible for communicating model performance to stakeholders, ensuring prompt attention to potential problems, and regularly reviewing and improving the model performance process.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills are required to engage with multiple stakeholders across the credit lifecycle.
  • You will need to review financial spreading logic in newly developed credit lifecycle systems and support governance and audit readiness through proper model documentation and transparent development practices.
