Job Description:

We are looking for a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and quality of our data assets. You will work closely with various stakeholders across the business to identify areas where improvements can be made, develop strategies to address these gaps, and implement changes that meet our organizational goals.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a subject matter expert in best practices for data governance and quality, focusing on safeguarding data assets from security threats and other risks.
• Demonstrate active ownership of specific data domains, processes, and procedures to ensure their alignment with business objectives.
• Create and edit data requirements, data models, data dictionaries, process maps, and data lineage/mapping documents to support informed decision-making.
• Use standardized methods to capture and document metadata across various data domains, ensuring transparency and auditability.
• Communicate with stakeholders to gather feedback and concerns regarding data management and provide solutions to address these issues.
• Develop valuation and quality metrics and share them with relevant business units to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
• Manage metadata and data quality processes using industry-leading tools such as Informatica, Collibra, SAP, and Microsoft 365.
• Apply classification standards to unstructured data (e.g., PII) across platforms like SharePoint, Teams, and internal ERP systems.
• Ensure compliance with international standards (ISO), regulatory requirements (GDPR, SOX), and internal AI data controls.
• Manage assets within DTUS and oversee lifecycle governance for SuccessFactors/HXM data.
• Promote continuous improvement initiatives, monitor results, and conduct benchmarking activities to drive excellence in data management.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in data management, showcasing ability to analyze, interpret, and explain systems and approaches for data-informed decision-making.
• Thorough understanding of relational database theories and schemas, with experience working with data modeling tools.
• Excellent communication skills, including influencing and engaging stakeholders; ability to build trust and credibility with peers and leaders.
• Ability to adapt to dynamic environments and take initiative to solve complex problems strategically and tactically.
• Strong collaboration skills with flexibility and diplomacy while maintaining adherence to principles and policies.
• High-quality customer-focused orientation, providing clear and accurate information to support business decisions.
• Relevant Bachelor's Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Finance, Technical, Data Science, or Statistics.
