Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining our data catalog, ensuring that it is accurate, complete, and up-to-date.

You will work closely with data stewards, engineers, and business stakeholders to develop and implement data governance policies and procedures. This includes creating and maintaining metadata standards, defining data quality metrics, and developing training programs for data users.

In addition to your technical skills, you should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Skills:
    • Experience with Collibra Data Intelligence Platform, including metadata ingestion, data lineage stitching, and workflow configuration.
    • Strong understanding of metadata management and data governance principles.
    • Proficiency in SQL and scripting for metadata extraction and transformation.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to interpret and map technical metadata from ETL tools, BI platforms, and databases into Collibra.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Collibra APIs or Connectors.
  • Knowledge of data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA DMBOK).
  • Prior experience in a regulated industry (e.g., finance, healthcare).
