Senior Engineer - Oracle ERP Reporting

About the Role:

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Engineer to lead our Oracle ERP reporting efforts, delivering high-quality reporting solutions that drive business insights and accuracy across our enterprise platform. As a key member of our team, you will design, develop, and optimize Business Intelligence (BI) Publisher and Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) reports to support global finance and operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, enhance, and maintain BI Publisher reports to meet finance and operational reporting needs, ensuring compliance with established standards and security requirements.
  • Create and optimize OTBI dashboards and analyses, guaranteeing scalability and usability for end-users.
  • Partner with finance and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into reporting specifications, fostering effective collaboration and communication.
  • Support data extraction and transformation processes leveraging OTBI and FDI for downstream reporting and analytics, ensuring seamless integration with core finance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with reporting standards, security, and audit requirements, maintaining the highest level of integrity and transparency.
  • Build and maintain project artifacts, including design documents, report inventories, test scripts, and deployment notes, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices.
  • Collaborate with ERP functional and technical teams to integrate reporting into core finance processes, GL, AP, AR, CM, FA, and Projects, driving business efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Provide production support for reporting issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  • Contribute to reporting standards templates and reusable frameworks across ERP, enhancing consistency and quality throughout the organization.

About You:

  • 5-7 years of experience in Oracle ERP reporting, with strong expertise in BI Publisher and OTBI, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality reporting solutions.
  • Proven ability to design and deliver financial and operational reports for ERP modules, such as GL, AP, AR, FA, and CM, and projects, demonstrating a deep understanding of financial processes and reporting cycles.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and optimization, ensuring efficient and accurate data processing.
  • Experience building dashboards, KPIs, and analytics in OTBI, providing actionable insights and driving business decisions.
  • Understanding of data structures, subject areas, and reporting metadata within Oracle ERP, ensuring seamless integration with core finance processes.
  • Knowledge of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure OCI connections for reporting and integration with external systems, promoting agility and flexibility.
  • Good knowledge of finance processes and reporting cycles, ensuring a thorough understanding of the organization's financial landscape.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, enabling effective decision-making and resolution of complex issues.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills, fostering strong relationships with global stakeholders and ensuring seamless project execution.
  • Adaptability and resilience in fast-changing environments, ensuring the ability to pivot quickly in response to emerging challenges and opportunities.
